Scott is a dental entrepreneur, innovator, strategic thinker, expert in operations, and leader. He founded Virginia based brands Virginia Dental Center (2009) and Elite Dental (2015). For 8 years as chief executive of Elite Dental Group, EBITDA grew at 36% year-over-year. Scott is skilled in lean dental management, valuation, M&A, value creation, and transition preparation.

Scott is the founder and CEO of online smile simulation company, SmileSIM™. Scott's business skills and value creation are complimented by his ability to recruit and retain top tiered dentists, executives, and management personnel. Innovation in management, patient financing, and marketing has contributed to Scott’s success.

My Journey

I am the son of general dentist who practiced for 43 years in the town I grew up in, Vineland, NJ. I attended Middlebury College, where I played 4 years of baseball and football, and then went on to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. Graduating in 2003, I went on to complete a residency (AEGD) in the United States Air Force at Bolling & Andrews Air Force Bases and went on to serve 2 years on active duty. I moonlighted in private practice when I was in the USAF and spent two years afterward as an associate dentist before building my first dental brand, Virginia Dental Center in 2009. I went on to build Elite Dental in 2015, also in Arlington Virginia, and earned a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) that same year.

In 2016, I received my certification from Henry Schein Dental Business Institute, where I expanded my planning, building, leading, and lean management principles. I received my MBA from the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business in 2019.

My entrepreneurial passion allowed me to found SmileSIM™, a web-based smile simulation company.

I am passionate about learning and enjoy seeing others learn, develop, and succeed. I believe that excellent dentistry is a result of exceptional doctors and staff who lead.
